If you ever hear these words "I am from the government. I am here to help you," remember the warning that President Ronald Wilson Reagan gave us: "Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem." Alexis de Tocqueville also warned, "The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money." I will add one additional quote: "Beware liberals bearing gifts--and hold on to your wallet!"

- I am an unapologetic Classical Liberal (look it up on Wikipedia). I believe that government is not the answer to our problems, but is the problem in most cases. I also believe that we are overtaxed and that the government is involved in many areas in which they have no business. I am the black sheep of my unabashedly left-wing family. As you can imagine, this makes Thanksgiving interesting. I am married to my gorgeous and wonderful wife Kim, who has been my better half over many years, and have three beautiful sons (born in 03, 05 and 07). I am an elder in my church (LCMS) and have a strong faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I possess a Master ofPublic Policy from William and Mary (2002), and I am an economic analyst at a trade association in DC, where I have been employed since 2004. I have been a consultant for two companies who worked on contracts with the Federal government since receiving my Masters. My undergraduate degree was a BS in Education from Kent State University (1995), which I earned by working my way through school. I have been a civics and pre-algebra teacher, and have held many other positions in the service industry before that.

Yeah, I agree...giving Treasury Secretary Herny Paulson carte blanche ...a blank check...and YET AGIAN consolidating power in the Executive Branch....no oversight from Congress or Supreme Court. Yep. That's it!
You know, John...I would appreciate you posting comments more if you would take the time to read before you do it!
I am ABSOLUTELY AGAINST this bailout (and all the prior bailouts). It is time to let the market work and if that means that credit dries up for a while, some businesses fail, and Wall Street declines, so be it!
I also do not think you read my analysis in my prior post all the way through either...please, read before you bloviate!
