OK, at first I was appalled and then I thought about it. And now I'm only slightly appalled. They aren't planning on getting rid of 401k's but the tax exempt status that they have. Both ideas are stupid. We should be encouraging more saving and investment. 401k's while losing value over the last weeks accomplish both. I for one will lobby my Congress people not to vote for a bill that includes this change. But, I have serious doubts that something this preposterous would make it out of committee.
